We Came As Romans - To Plant A Reed - The new album from We Came As Romans is absolutely amazing. I have been waiting for this one to come out for months. Songs one through ten rock hard and it doesn't stop. The only negative thing about this album is the clean vocals with the auto-tone is really annoying at times but overall get this thing.

The Almost - Monster Monster - Now for a straight up rock band this album is pretty good. This isn't a cd that I would listen to on an everyday basis but it has a unique sound and I would pick it up from time to time. If I listened to more rock style then this would be a everyday cd but I just dont think it is hard enough. Aaron Gillespie is an amazing vocalist as he takes the front. If you didn't know he is the drummer and clean vocalist for the band Underoath.

The Bay State - Let's Turn This City On - The Bay State is a great band from Bangor Maine. Their songs are very catchy and I constantly sing them in my head during the day. I think it is awesome to find great local music in areas that you would think wouldn't have a good local scene but Maine has pretty good local talent that keep you coming back. Pick this up on Itunes.
I heard Bay State for the first time at the AS4MS concert last spring. AMAZING! I've been wondering where I could get their music though so it's good to know they're on itunes.
ReplyDeleteI agree that “The Almost, the Monster” is a good album. I admit I have never taken the time to listen to them, but once I saw this post I took the time. I really love the singer of this group; he’s got a great voice. I’m a sucker for a great voice; it’s what draws me to that person’s music. I think I will now look further into the group and see more of what their like.
